Meet Ms. Hottle
I attended the University of North Carolina Greensboro with the intention of becoming an accountant. I pursued an accounting degree at UNCG for three years until I decided to go with my true love and passion, which working in schools! I changed my major in my junior year, allowing me to graduate with a degree in elementary education and a minor in accounting. I earned a NC Environmental Educators Certification during my undergrad years in college. Through this certification I learned about the wildlife and habitats across the state of North Carolina. At Atlantic Beach, NC I had the privilege of working with baby sea turtles through the NC Aquarium that had been rescued during a hurricane. This ignited my love for turtles! I taught 3rd grade at Fuller Elementary school for three years, where I was Lead Teacher for the last two years. I loved working with the students at Fuller, but realized my greatest passion was building relationships with the students and families in my classroom. This led me to the University of North Carolina Masters in School Counseling program where I interned for a year here at Conn! I will not be starting my sixth year here at Conn Elementary and have felt so honored to be able to work with the amazing staff and students here at Conn! |
